Market summary — Q1 2026
The superyacht brokerage market entered 2026 in a phase of normalisation after the post-COVID peak of 2021–2022. Q1 2026 transaction volume (287 vessels 30m+) is down 8% year-on-year, with the decline concentrated in the 30–45m segment where inventory has risen fastest. The 55m+ segment remains undersupplied relative to demand.
Median asking prices have softened across all size segments, with the 8–15 year old bracket showing the most notable correction (−10 to −18% from Q1 2023 peak). Pre-owned vessels from premium builders (Feadship, Lürssen) continue to hold value significantly better than production or semi-custom equivalents.
The charter market tells a different story: peak-season rates for Q2–Q3 2026 bookings are tracking 4% above Q2–Q3 2025, driven by sustained demand in the Eastern Mediterranean (Greece, Turkey) and continued growth in the Caribbean. Charter enquiry volumes at YachtAuthorities are up 22% year-on-year.
